Season starts may 22nd and we are now playing at Milton Frank. We want a college tailgating atmosphere, and can do it with that huge parking lot! This should be really cool. By coincidence, Todd Snider will be playing an early show at Crossroads. We are going to try to catch most of that show, then head over to Ryan's show. So, technically, Todd will be opening for Ryan.

Nashville, TN - Saturday, February 27th 2010 - Nashville based group Cassino is having a CD release show for their new album Kingprince at The Basement Nashville.

The band's sophomore album, Kingprince, was released digitally this past November, and reached #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart the month of its release and cracked the iTunes overall Top 100 charts reaching as high as #72. The album has just been released physically, and is now available for purchase through MerchDirect.com and Amazon.

The album includes contributions from some of Nashville's most skilled musicians including famed drummer and producer Craig Krampf who produced their previous album Sounds of Salvation and helped provide the foundation for the twelve tracks that make up the newest album. With layers of sounds created by instruments like the harmonica, violin and mandolin Cassino has managed to put together an album that is truly unique, especially in today's often predictable music scene.

Cassino is made up of Nick Torres, formerly of the rock group Northstar, and long-time friend Edward Puckett. Originally a collaboration between Torres and Northstar bandmate Tyler Odom, Cassino released its debut album, Sounds of Salvation, in early 2007. The record was declared a "complete triumph" by Absolutepunk.net, and Cassino built up a fan base in the following months, touring the US in support of the release. After returning home in 2008, Torres and Puckett began working together, developing a collection of songs that they would write and record themselves in their own apartment.

Cassino's Kingprince official CD release Show is Saturday February 27th at The Basement Nashville. The show is at 9pm and is at the door. Also supporting the bill that night is Korean is Asian and Tristen.

some of you know, some of you dont. Jason and I, and Dowd too had tryouts for the Rocket City Titans this past sunday. The Titans are Huntsville's new semi-pro football team in the South Premiere Football League. The league is made up of 19 teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisianna, and Mississippi. There were 40 roster spots available and I am happy to announce that as of 11:14pm, all 3 of us were signed! Season starts may 22nd with home games to be played at Goldsmith Schiffman in 5 points. I expect Alcatraz to continue and the tailgating to be wilder than ever! Hours before kickoff, i want the grill going, beer flowing, and cuss words thrown at opposing team. Season tickets are cheap and im sure it would mean alot to dowd, jason, and myself to have a nice fan base there. Thanks guys, looking forward to it!
